Christian de Saussure is psychiatrist-psychotherapist FMH, specialist in the elderly. He works in private practice. He is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva and at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lyon II.
Christian de Saussure is vice-president of the French Association of the Rights of Aged Human. He is member of the Council of the Agalma Foundation, as well as member of the Council of the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation (Rolex SA).
